This three-day course offers invaluable techniques for becoming a Final Cut Pro "power user". Combining technical and aesthetic information, there is a demonstration followed by ample time for hands-on exercises to master dialog editing techniques, various trimming methods, getting the most out of Final Cut's audio mixing tools, media and clip management and more.
Topics include:
Dialog scene editing techniques
Getting the most out of Matchframe for locating, adding and replacing material
Replace edit to simplify the task of replacing Timeline clips in sync to Timeline elements
Trim Window techniques for creating match cuts, refining timing and trimming on the fly
Multi-track trimming to keep multiple tracks in sync while editing and avoiding clip collisions
Multi-camera editing to playback and edit multiple camera angles
Nesting clips and sequences for various editorial purposes and tips for un-Nesting
Other editing techniques include keyboard and numeric trimming, creating effective split edits, using dupe detection, Gang Sync, merging/ syncing clips, trimming under transitions and using Extend edit with single and multiple tracks, fixing screen direction errors, and creating timecode window burns of a project
Audio techniques include working with real time audio mixing, outputting multi- channel audio and more
Creating speed effects and freeze frames
