Course Description
Adobe Illustrator is a sophisticated graphics program capable of creating complex and attractive illustrations and type effects. You might need to create logos, advertisements, and other illustrations in Illustrator. If you have little or no experience with Illustrator, it can be overwhelming to start creating complex illustrations. In this course, you'll start by drawing and manipulating simple shapes to create logos. You'll also combine text and graphics to create advertisements.
Course Objective: You will use Illustrator to create illustrations, such as logos and advertisements that include type and graphics.
Target Student: Graphic designers, or people transitioning into a design job or taking on design responsibilities, who need to use Illustrator to create illustrations, logos, advertisements, or other graphic documents. They may have little or no experience with Illustrator. They may already use InDesign and Photoshop.
Welcome to Sonic Training!. (http://www.sonictraining.com 877-760-0078) Macromedia (Dreamweaver, Flash, Fireworks), Adobe (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), Database (SQL, Access, Filemaker Pro, Goldmine), Programming (HTML, CSS, XML, Access VBA, Excel VBA), MS Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Project) instructor-led, classroom training at our location or your company location. Sonic Training blends the fun and challenge of learning into to a classroom environment. Since all we do is training, (see Why choose Sonic Training) we know what works best and what doesn't.
Here at Sonic Training, we take your technical education seriously...but not too seriously. With 12 years of design and training experience, our mix of learning in a fun environment makes understanding complex design applications, like Dreamweaver or Access VBA, easy to digest. We also realize each student is unique and the company they work is unique, so our small class sizes (never over 8 students) makes it easy to incorporate your project at work into our class. We actually encourage work-related scenarios to help give the other students another real-life perspective.

Course Description
You have probably created simple documents such as letters and reports using word processing applications. You most likely applied basic type formatting, may have even included some graphics in the documents, and probably printed the documents yourself on a desktop printer. Now you may need to create high-quality single- and multiple-page documents for professional publication. In this course, you'll use QuarkXPress to lay out professional quality single and multiple-page documents that include text and graphics, and are designed for professional printing and publication.
Course Objective: You will use QuarkXPress to set up and lay out single-page and multiple-page documents.
Target Student: Professional and prospective layout designers and technicians with any level of experience, but with little or no experience using QuarkXPress, who need to learn to use QuarkXPress to lay out publications. They are unlikely to be doing the printing themselves. They are more likely to work for medium sized and large companies, rather than small businesses. They have basic word processing skills and may already use Illustrator and Photoshop.
Prerequisites: Before taking this course, students should be familiar with the basic functions of their computer's operating system. Students should also have basic word processing skills, such as copying and pasting text, formatting type, and so on.
