5S, also known as 5C or CANDO is concerned with the elimination of the 7 wastes by the introduction of world class workplace organisation and housekeeping.
What are the 7 Wastes? By reviewing just 7 wastes in our business, we can account for over 80% of the waste we are likely to find in both our office and factory environment.
5S is a set of tools originally employed by Japanese manufacturing industry to form the bedrock of continuous improvement activity - a good place to start for an organisation in the process of adopting a lean culture.
This one day 5S and 7 Wastes training course is ideally suited to personnel from all disciplines in a factory environment. Delegates will get the opportunity to assemble 'real' products during the workshop in both PRE-5S and POST -5S environments in order to reinforce the theory.
