Training
Provided by Delphi Institute of Management
Context
Due to the unstoppable growth of worldwide tourism, the World Tourism Organisation predicts that the number of international travellers will double in the coming years. It is vitally important that there are enough qualified
professionals to cope with this scenario. These forecasts are especially important for the holiday sector which is already three times greater than tourism for business or professional purposes. Therefore, holiday tourism and its different characteristics compared to city tourism, make specialisation essential in order to supply qualified managers who are able to provide the best customer service and the best results for their companies. The main reasons for this growth in tourism are a low cost base, new customers from Asia and a general increase in living standards which allows people to purchase a holiday like any other consumer product.
