Incident Command System

Training, Instruction and Documentation

Linc International
Training Provided by Linc International The Incident Command System is an efficient, flexible and standardized response management system. It is an 'all hazard - all risk' approach to managing crisis response operations such as chemical spills, fire, floods, earthquake, as well as non-crisis events like concerts or any planned event. The ICS emphasizes effective cooperation, coordination and communication among the responsible organization, the community and local & national agencies. Although the ICS was originally developed to address concerns of multi-agency incidents, it applies to any response situation both large or small incidents. This system allows for sharing of resources effectively whether the resource comes from the responsible organization, the community or local & national agencies. Understanding the concepts and principles of ICS provides for a logical and smooth organizational expansion and contraction depending on the scope of the incident. When planned for and practiced, the ICS provides for an increased support of personnel during incidents. Upon completion of the requirements, participants will receive an international certification from California Specialized Training Institute (CSTI).
