This course provides Internet and Web users with the knowledge and skills required to select an Internet connection type and Internet Service Provider (ISP), locate and retrieve information on the Web, and communicate with others via the Internet. An overview of the Internet and its services, business uses of the Internet, and Internet security concerns will be covered. In addition, participants will learn how to browse the Web, send and receive e-mail, post messages to newsgroups, and perform Web searches.

- Configure a dial-up connection to the Internet by using the Windows 98 Dial-Up Networking window.
- Navigate to a Web page by specifying a given Uniform Resource Locator (URL) in Netscape Navigator.
- Navigate to the different pages of a Web site by using interface components of the Netscape Navigator window.
- Add a Web site or a Web page to a list of bookmarks for quick access by using Netscape Navigator.
