People Skills for Technical Professionals, Supervisors & Managers The American Management Association learned in a national survey that approximately 75% of supervisors and managers who are terminated are removed from their jobs because they have problems dealing with people. Most supervisors and managers will tell you that the most challenging part of their jobs is the people component. Most technical professionals are aware that their training included little or no preparation for dealing with people. Not too surprising, is it? Human beings are complex creatures and most people learn very little in their developmental years about interpersonal communication skills, managing relationships, preventing or resolving conflicts, getting commitments from others, or dealing with problem behavior. When you become a supervisor you somehow are supposed to have all of those skills! When you realize that your technical competence is not enough to be successful in the organization, you know that dealing with people is challenging! This 2-day how to training program provides proven, practical tools and techniques to improve anyone s skills for dealing with people. This program has been one of the most popular ones that we provide for clients. This program also has been conducted in partnership with prominent university management development programs at Southern Methodist University, San Diego State University, San Jose State University, Baldwin-Wallace College, Michigan State University, University of Pittsburgh, University of Cincinnati and several others. Fees ranged from $595.00 to $895.00 per person! Now this popular and valuable training is available as an open enrollment program in Boulder at a greatly reduced fee. By making it available without a university partner, by using only email announcements rather than costly brochures and mailings, and by the generosity of our host organization, 1st National Bank of Colorado, we can offer you and your employees the opportunity to receive this valuable training for only $325.00 per person! The fee covers two days of highly interactive training and a workbook. For three or more registrations, the fee is only $300.00 per person. Enrollment is limited to 16 people to assure maximum involvement and learning.
