Course Overview
This course is the second part of a two part series that will provide participants the knowledge to install, configure, integrate, optimize and troubleshoot clustering technologies for Microsoft Windows NT 4.0.

- Create groups and resources in a cluster.
- Configure the general, failover and failback configuration properties of a group.
- Configure a printer, an application and a service for Microsoft Cluster Server.

This course is intended for IT support professionals who will be responsible for installing, configuring, customizing and/or troubleshooting Cluster Server. Participants should have taken Networking Essentials (Course Series 70421-70423), Supporting Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 Core Technologies (Course Series 71410-71413), Internetworking TCP/IP on Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 (Course Series 71435-71438) and the first course in the series.

Unit 1: Configure Group, Disk and Network Resource
Duration: 2 - 3 Hour(s)- Connect to a cluster by using Cluster Administration.
- Create a group in a cluster by using the New Group wizard.
- Create an IP address resource in a group by using the New Resource wizard.
- Create a network name resource in a group by using the New Resource wizard.
- Create a file share resource in a group by using the New Resource wizard.
- Change the state of resources and groups by using the menubar in the Cluster Administrator window.
- Initiate the failure of a resource by using the toolbar in the Cluster Administrator window.
- Transfer ownership in a cluster by using the toolbar in the Cluster Administrator window.
- Configure the general properties of a group by using the Cluster Server group configuration property page.
- Configure the failover properties of a group by using the Cluster Server group configuration property page.
- Configure the failback properties of a group by using the Cluster Server group configuration property page.
- Configure the general properties of a resource by using the Cluster Server resource configuration property page.
- Configure the dependency properties of a resource by using the Cluster Server resource configuration property page.
- Configure the advanced properties of a resource by using the Cluster Server resource configuration property page.
- Configure the settings for the file share resource type by using the Cluster Server resource configuration property page.
- Configure the IIS virtual root resource type by using the Cluster Server resource configuration property page.
- Configure the network name resource type by using the menubar in the Cluster Administrator window.
- Set the physical disk resource by using the Cluster Server resource configuration property page.
- Configure the IP address resource type by using the Cluster Server resource configuration property page.
- Configure the quorum log of a cluster for a new drive by using the Quorum property page.
- Configure the network connection of the Cluster Server service by using the Network property page.
Unit 2: Configure Printer, Application and Service

- Create a print spooler resource for a cluster.
