Course Overview
This is the eighth course in a ten part series for system administrators who are responsible for Domino server and Notes client. At the completion of this course, students will learn how to configure and customize the Domino Web server; set up LDAP, directory assistance, and NNTP; identify the ways to provide Internet security by using firewalls, and set up certification authority, SSL, and S/MIME.

- Identify the features of the Domino Web server, and configure and customize the Domino Web server.
- Identify the features of Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) and Network News Transfer Protocol (NNTP), and set up LDAP, directory assistance, and NNTP.

- Configure the basic settings for the Domino Web server by using the Server document in Notes R5.

- Configure the HTTP sessions of the Domino Web server to improve performance by using the Server document in Notes R5.
- Configure the Domino Web server mapping by using the Server document in Notes R5.
- Enable the Domino Web server to host a Java applet by using the Server document in Notes R5.
- Set up a Virtual Web server by using the Server document in Notes R5.
- Set up aliases for a Web site by using the Server document in Notes R5.
- Customize Web server messages by using the Domino Configuration database in Notes R5.
- Redirect a URL by using the Server document in Notes R5.
- Create a File Protection document for protecting Web Files by using the Server document in Notes R5.

Unit 2: Services on a Domino Server

- Sequence the steps to set up the LDAP service on a Domino server.
- Configure the Setup Profiles of Notes R5 users to enable them to connect to the LDAP service by using Domino Directory.
- Set up the LDAP service on Outlook Express.
- Customize the LDAP settings on a Domino server by using the Configuration Settings document in Notes R5.
- Identify the name that satisfies the naming rules in Directory Assistance.
- Configure a Directory Assistance database.
- Create a Directory Assistance document by using a Directory Assistance database in Notes R5.
