This is the seventh course in an eight-part series that will provide IT professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to implement, administer, and troubleshoot Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional and Server. At the completion of this course, students will learn to install, configure, and troubleshoot network adapters and network protocols on a Windows 2000 server; install, configure, and troubleshoot remote access; and configure a Virtual Private Network (VPN).

Unit 1: Application Sharing
Duration: 1 - 2 Hour(s)- Share a folder over the network by using the Create Shared Folder wizard.
- Configure the properties of a shared folder by using the Computer Management window.
- Configure the properties of a shared printer by using the Printer Properties dialog box.
- Identify the corrective action to be taken to solve a problem in accessing a network printer by using the specified information.
- Identify the features of Terminal Services.
- Identify the tasks to be performed before installing Terminal Services.
- Install Terminal Services on a Windows 2000 server by using the Windows Components Wizard.
- Identify the tab that is used to configure the specified property of a network connection.
- Set the properties of a Terminal connection on a Windows 2000 server by using the Terminal Services Configuration console.
- Identify the corrective action to be taken to solve a problem in establishing the Terminal connection by using the specified information.
Unit 2: Network Adapters and Protocols
Duration: 1 - 2 Hour(s)- Install a network adapter on a Windows 2000 server by using the Add/Remove Hardware Wizard.
- Identify the tab in the Properties dialog box of a network adapter that is used to configure the specified property of a network adapter.
- Configure a network adapter by using the Device Manager window.
- Identify the corrective action to be taken to solve a problem with an installed network adapter by using the specified information.
- Identify the features of the Windows 2000 network protocols.
- Install a network protocol by using the Network and Dial-up Connections window.
- Identify the tab that is used to configure the specified property of TCP/IP.
- Configure the properties of TCP/IP by using the Network and Dial-up Connections window.
- Configure the properties of the NWLink protocol by using the Local Area Connections Properties dialog box.
- Identify the corrective action to be taken to solve a problem with TCP/IP by using the specified information.
Unit 3: Remote Access
