Unit 1: Printers and Terminals

• Identify the features of the Printer Setup Manager.
• Add a new printer by using the Printer Setup Manager.
• Control jobs in a print queue.
• Identify the command-line interface (CLI) commands used to configure printing in UnixWare 7.
• Identify the UnixWare 7 SAC commands.
• Identify the functions of the Serial Manager.
• Identify the steps involved in configuring a terminal.

Unit 2: Network Connections

• Identify the features of the Network Configuration Manager.
• Configure a Network Interface Card by using the NCM utility.
• Identify the features of the Client Manager utility.
• Identify the features of WAN connection media.
• Identify the functions of the Modem and Dialup Systems managers in serial communications.
• Create an outgoing Point-to-Point Protocol (PPP) connection.
• Create an incoming Point-to-Point Protocol (PPP) connection.
• Configure a Dynamic Host Control Protocol (DHCP) server.
• Identify the features of the DNS Manager.
• Identify the features of routing in UnixWare 7.
• Identify the methods for configuring routes in UnixWare 7.
• Configure the NetWare UNIX Client (NUC) for UnixWare.
• Install NetWare Services (NWS).

Unit 3: Network Services

• Identify the features of NFS.
• Configure NFS on UnixWare.
• Identify the ways in which NFS clients access shared resources.

• Identify the types of HTTP servers available in UnixWare.

• Add an NTP server to a host.
• Identify the features of mail management by using the command-line interface (CLI).
• Manage mail with the SCOadmin tool.
• Identify UnixWare network security features.
• Identify the features of the Packet Filter Manager.
• Identify proxy servers that are available to UnixWare.
