• Identify the CLI commands used to configure a terminal.
• Configure a modem.

Unit 2: Network Connections

• Identify the features of computer networks.

• Identify the features of naming services.
• Identify the features of a NIS master server.
• Identify the features of NIS slave servers.
• Identify the features of NIS+.
• Identify the features of the Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP).
• Set up a DHCP within a subnet.
• Identify the features of DNS.
• Identify the features of network routing.

Unit 3: Network Services

• Identify the features of the NFS service.
• Set up NFS services.
• Identify the features of automounter.
• In this lesson, you will learn about Internet and Intranet services.
• Identify features of e-mail services.
• Identify the characteristics of sendmail.
• Identify the features of POP3.
• Identify the features of the Apache HTTP server.
• Identify the features of the Network Time Protocol (NTP).
• Identify requirements for maintaining site security.
• Identify Solaris features for maintaining system and file security.
