Course Overview

This is the third course in a five part series that introduces the essentials of object-oriented programming. You will learn the terminology and concepts required to create and use classes in C#. The course also teaches how to use reference-type variables and how to create and destroy objects in C#.

Learn To

• Identify characteristics of a class.
• Identify characteristics of an object.
• Identify differences between structs and classes.
• Identify the syntax used to declare a reference variable.
• Identify characteristics of an invalid reference.
• Identify characteristics of comparing reference variables.
• Identify characteristics of the default constructor.
• Identify the syntax used to overload a constructor.
• Identify characteristics of an initializer list.

Audience

The intended audience for this course are individuals involved in programming in C, C++, Microsoft Visual Basic or Java and wish to program in C#. They are involved in developing enterprise business solutions. The audience will include application developers, system analysts, and software engineers. It is expected that learners should have experience programming in C, C++, Visual Basic, Java, or another programming language.
