Training Provided by 123-CBT Computer Based Training This is the first course in a three part series that introduces the learner to the fundamental directory solutions and the X.500 standard. It also covers the Full Service Directory Model (FSDM), and the role of LDAP in accessing directories. Finally, it describes Netscape Directory Server Technology.

o Identify the fundamental concepts of Directory services, which include the X.500 Directory standard and the FSD model.
o Understand the LDAP fundamentals.
o Understand the configuration of LDAP.
o Understand Netscape Directory Server.
o Identify how to deploy Netscape Directory Server on a network by setting up and configuring it.
o Identify the management tasks of Netscape Directory Server that include adding users and maintaining a server.
o Understand the compliance of Netscape Directory Server with the FSD model.

The intended audience for this course includes Technical Managers, System Administrators, Software Engineers, and Network Administrators. They should be experienced IT professionals who are experts with Novell NetWare 4 or NetWare 5 and have prior knowledge of Novell Directory Services (NDS).
