Course Overview
This first course in the series introduces Web design concepts, including page layout, usability, navigation, graphics and multimedia. It also teaches the process to follow when developing a Web site, and implementation factors that need to be considered.
Learn To
Identify the features of the Web, basic Web design concepts, page layout and elements, usability testing, and navigation concepts.
Identify the elements in a Web site include the page layout elements, colors, and the fonts used in a Web site.
Identify the various Web graphics and multimedia concepts of Web site design.
Identify the various phases of the Web development process and the site implementation factors.
Audience
The target audiences for this course are End Users, Application Developers. Additionally, Web authors, marketing and communications professionals, PR professionals, Webmasters, graphic designers, technical writers, and library scientists. Learners will have completed either the CIW Foundations certification or the i-Net+ certification. Both of these provide a foundational knowledge about Internet networking, servers and clients, design and development, security, and using the Internet for business. This course helps prepare candidates for exam 1D0-420.
