This course builds on the learner's existing knowledge of the Windows XP operating system by teaching the more skilled facets of XP's functionality and features. It builds from some basic assumptions about the learner's previous experience within the Windows environment (particularly with Windows XP) and it comprehensively guides the learner through the more advanced uses of this latest version of Windows with the emphasis on learning by doing.

Audience The intended audience for this course is anyone who is familiar with, and has a basic mastery of, any other Windows operating system. Clerical and secretarial staff, network users, most people in an office environment who use computers with an acceptable degree of proficiency will benefit from these courses. These courses assume that the learner has worked in a Windows environment in the past and they set out to develop existing knowledge so that the learner can become proficient in the latest Windows. The Microsoft Windows XP Advanced User requires a higher level of knowledge and skill (minimum requirement would be completion of the Microsoft Windows XP User Fundamentals course 74001).
