Topics include, portal server's difference from team services, principal areas of data sharing within SharePoint Portal Server, data access and search mechanisms. Digital dashboards are covered in considerable detail of setup, content management, Web parts and using with Office XP developer. Lastly, the course then moves on to treatment of collaborative applications, covering principally Exchange 2000 Server and Web storage systems, workflow design and processes, and BizTalk Server 2000.

Audience

The intended audience for this course includes business decision makers, IT Executives and Managers, and knowledge workers who make strategic decisions about implementing collaborative solutions. Candidates will be proficient in Microsoft Office (any version). It would be an advantage to have used Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server, Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server, Microsoft SQL Server 2000, or Microsoft BizTalk. In addition, learners should have taken the first part of this series 74101.
