This is the first course in a five part series of Microsoft Windows 2000 Network Management that introduces Active Directory. This course distinguishes between the physical and logical structure of Active Directory and also covers Active Directory replication problems. It also teaches configuring and troubleshooting DHCP. Finally, this course covers troubleshooting startup problems, including Safe Mode, the Recovery Console, and parallel installations.

Candidates for this exam work in medium to very large computing environments that use Microsoft Windows 2000 network and directory services. Candidates have at least six months of experience administering and supporting Windows 2000 server and client operating systems that use Active Directory services.
