  • Each of the simulations allows you to practice the skills learned in the instructional content. You will enter realistic scenarios in which you will interact with a variety of individuals. By using the knowledge you have gained, you control the outcome of each simulation.
Unit 2: Implementing a Change (0.5 - 1 hour)
  • Identify the steps of the change process.
  • Analyze a change situation.
  • Prepare a plan for change.
  • Implement a change.
  • Monitor the progress of a change.
  • Simulation Overview:
  • In this simulation, your Director of Marketing is being promoted and the Marketing Manager has been chosen to fill the vacant Director of Marketing position. You are meeting with them and the Director of Human Resources to discuss the perceived effects the change will have on the department and its employees.
Unit 3: Monitoring a Change (0.5 - 1 hour)
  • Identify why employees resist change.
  • Manage the tension caused by change.
  • Help employees avoid complacency.
  • Eliminate the causes of complacency.
  • Control a crisis.
  • Simulation Overview:
  • In this simulation, the Information Systems Department is implementing a new operating system. You are meeting with the Director of Human Resources, the Director of Information Systems, and the Special Projects Coordinator to address their concerns about completing the transition.
Unit 4: Setting Strategic Goals (0.5 - 1 hour)
  • Understand the need for creative approaches to change.
