Simulation Overview:
In this simulation, you will meet with Bruce Madison and Ron Spear to discuss the need for a consultant. Plant 1 has been the subject of internal criticism because its production rate has slowed and errors have occurred more frequently, and as Plant 1's director, it is your responsibility to address these problems. In response, you are meeting to determine the need for an outside consultant to evaluate the plant's efficiency. Your budget would allow you to allocate $40,000 toward consulting fees, which is not enough to acquire an experienced consultant for more than just part-time work. Since Bruce and Ron have always run Plant 1, it is your responsibility to manage any resistance to consultants they display.
