This OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER (Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response) training class takes place in our Denver, Colorado training facility. HAZWOPER training is a requirement under OSHA regulations 29 CFR 1910. 120 and CFR 1926. 65 for all employees who may deal with hazardous waste on a daily, occasional or emergency basis, on controlled or uncontrolled hazardous waste sites.
The purpose of the HAZWOPER 40 Hour training is to provide students with the safe practices, tools and knowledge that will protect them during their daily work, during cleanup (remediation) or in a HAZMAT emergency response situation.
The 40 Hour HAZWOPER Training Course takes place over (4) four consecutive days of approximately (10) ten hours each day and includes both classroom training and a simulated emergency exercise. This practical hands-on exercise is an invaluable learning experience and gives students the opportunity to utilize their knowledge and tools, giving them the confidence and ability to use safe work practices and to make correct decisions during stressful field conditions.
According to OSHA training regulations, the HAZWOPER training must be refreshed annually by the student participating in a HAZWOPER 8 Hour Refresher training.
Our HAZWOPER training facility is located in Aurora which is approximately a 15 minute drive from either downtown Denver, the Denver Tech area (DTC) and Denver International Airport (DIA).
