We can't know the perfect answer for every given situation, but we CAN develop the skills that will help us determine what to do when issues come up that aren't quite right. This course, Valuing the Individual, puts us on the path to figuring out how to handle those ticklish situations that plague us. With the tools given in this workshop, we will see how to recognize diversity's advantages; how to value each person's contributions; how to communicate effectively about diversity;p and how our differences can help us be a better organization.
We may learn things that suprise us about ourselves and our colleagues. It could teach us the language to use in dialogue that helps us more effectively communicate how we feel. It might mean that we are teaching others unconsciously, by our actions.
