The Recognizing & Reporting Child Abuse & Neglect Course addresses the most frequent child abuse and neglect issues, defines abuse and neglects, outlines indicators (both physical and behavioral) of child abuse and neglect, and covers the obligations of the Mandated Reporter under Ohio law when child abuse and/ or neglect is suspected.
The course is divided into five sections:
*An Introduction to Child Abuse & Neglect
*Definitions of Child Abuse & Neglect
*Indicators of Child Abuse & Neglect
*Reporting Child Abuse & Neglect
*Preventing Child Abuse & Neglect: An Introduction
This course is presented by a Registered Nurse (RN) and satisfies ODJFS requirements for Childcare Providers. Upon completion of this course, participants will receive a 3 hour certification that is valid for three years.
