Introduction to Excel
Excel
This remarkably versatile programme, normally associated with accounts, has so much more to offer besides. By the end of the course you will understand the underlying structure of a spreadsheet, and have learned how to create formulas and functions to process the data you enter. You will learn about powerful tools for adding up long columns or rows of figures as well as how to replicate formulas to other blocks of figures. You will also learn how to control position and lay out of your information so that it can easily be read and interpreted by others. You will learn how to use Excel as a simple database for searching and sorting data and, if you wish, how to use it in conjunction with Word to produce address labels. Using a number of graded exercises you will build and reinforce the skills so that by the end you will be able to tackle a wide range of projects of your own. Depending on your previous experience you can expect to take between two and four lessons to cover these topics. . Taken as one to one instruction this course can easily be modified to cater for individual needs or requirements
