ALEXANDER TECHNIQUE: A Skill for Living
7th-14th July 2007 at Shanti Griha, Dundonnell, Scotland
With Harriet Anderson (Ph.D., MSTAT) and Alan Mars (MSTAT)
The Alexander Technique is all about learning to release unnecessary tension in both your body and mind so that you can move through life with greater grace and ease.
It has helped millions of people to overcome back, shoulder and neck pain, breathing and vocal problems, anxiety and stress-related conditions and much more.
This week-long residential workshop, which is suitable for beginners and the more experienced, takes place at the meditation centre Shanti Griha, in one of Europe s last wildernesses on the north-west coast of Scotland. The rugged wild beauty of the landscape and its remoteness - Shanti Griha can be reached only on foot - offer the ideal setting to develop a calm curiosity about yourself which is the foundation of the Alexander Technique.
The small group and individual attention mean that you can work at your own pace and in the manner most suited to you.
Warm and welcoming accommodation and fully vegetarian meals are provided by Shanti Griha. The nearest airport/rail station is at Inverness; the airport is served by budget airlines.
