As a newly hired Web Marketing Assistant, your meeting is standard procedure and provides employees an opportunity to review basic legal issues in cyberspace. Jessica will ask you a series of questions designed to reinforce your understanding of the subject and prepare you to deal with the issues as they relate to your new position.
Unit 2: Conducting Business in Cyberspace (0.5 - 1 hour)

  • List the disadvantages of advertising over the Internet.
  • Identify methods of advertising in cyberspace.
  • Identify regulations used to govern e-money.

  • In this simulation, you will meet with Roger McAllister, Icon's Web Services Manager. You are a Marketing Assistant with Icon who has been assigned to work on the organization's latest e-commerce initiative. Roger will ask you a series of questions to confirm your understanding of the various laws and regulations associated with conducting business on the Internet as well as appropriate advertising strategies and general Internet etiquette.
