Simulation Overview:
In this simulation, you will meet with Don Hamilton, Regional Vice President of Sales at Icon International. You are a consultant hired to study the effects of the recent loss of sales, and you have worked with Don on previous occasions. Don has called this meeting to make sure that you do not say anything that disagrees with his policies. He also wants to ensure that you are capable of conducting the study to his requirements.
Unit 2: Foundations for Total Quality Management (0.5 - 1 hour)
Use a Trust Integrity Ethics checklist for laying a quality management foundation.
Recognize the importance of communication in a quality management framework.
Identify elements of a Total Quality Management organizational culture.
Recognize elements of total quality structure.
Recognize the best ways to deal with organizational change.
Simulation Overview:
In this simulation, you will meet with Patty Chen, Human Resources Manager, and Dean Kramer, Engineer. You have been asked by Patty to implement TQM into your department as a test run. If you can utilize TQM successfully, you will be asked to apply your strategies to other departments. However, if you do not prove to have the necessary knowledge, TQM will not be implemented anywhere for at least six months. You have been incorporating some TQM strategies recently, and you are very keen to continue with this management set-up.
