This course presents students with both theoretical and practical instruction on the fundamentals of major Operating Systems. Learners will be introduced to the procedures for installing and upgrading Windows 9x, Windows NT, Windows 2000, and Windows XP. Windows ME is part of the Windows 9x family. The course will also cover system boot sequences.

This is an entry-level audience that want to pass the A+ Operating System Technologies (2003) Examination or that have a strong interest in operating system technologies. Participants come from a broad spectrum of experience. Typical job roles may include IT professional or PC service technician. Basic skills acquired in the early stages of on-the-job training as a service technician are a pre-requisite of this course.
