Objectives

Unit 1: Travel Safety for Women (1 - 2 hours)
  • Identify general travel safety guidelines for women travelers.
  • Identify safety guidelines for women during transportation.
  • Simulation Overview: In this simulation, you will meet with Robin Carlson, a HR Specialist at Icon International. You have just been employed as a Sales Manager in Icon and as the position requires a large amount of traveling Robin wants to be sure you have a good understanding of travel safety and the precautions a traveler needs to take. She will ask you a number of questions in relation to travel guidelines for women and safety for women during transportation, to gauge your level of awareness.
Unit 2: Travel Safety for the Disabled (1 - 2 hours)
  • Identify safety and travel guidelines for disabled travelers.
  • Identify the modes of travel that provide accommodations for the disabled.
  • Simulation Overview: You have applied for the position of Human Resource Manager at Icon International and have been asked to meet with the Health and Safety Officer, Dean Kramer. The organization employs a number of individuals with disabilities, whose positions require them to travel on a regular basis. Dean will ask you a range of questions to gauge your level of understanding of disability-specific guidelines for travel safety.
