Adobe InDesign CS2 is a next generation page layout application that is replacing QuarkXPress in many desktop publishing environments. It contains a host of advanced text, colour, print and layout features not found in any other application that can be applied to text and objects It also boasts an interface similar to Adobe s other leading design applications and so is intuitive for users of these applications. Further, Adobe InDesign CS2 integrates seamlessly with the other Adobe applications and can include native Photoshop and Illustrator files, and in CS2 you can now centralise your whole workflow through Adobe Bridge. PDF output, XML , and export to GoLive output are also supported, making InDesign the perfect tool for repurposing content.
In this one day course we cover all of the key features of InDesign CS2 that experienced QuarkXPress users will require to make the transition to InDesign. You will be guided through the different shortcuts, differences in colour, stylesheets, text-flowing, output etc. You will also discover the whole range of new features that InDesign CS2 can offer the discerning designer like advanced text controls, ink mangement, nested styles, and a range of other features.
By the end of this course you will be able to make the transition to InDesign CS2 from QuarkXPress with confidence.
