MDP341 - BPM Professional Certification Practicum - Conducting an Analysis and Design Project
Course description
This course provides closure for the participants who have taken the pre-requisite classes in BPM Professional Certification and serves as the certification vehicle for this program. It is designed to try out all prior teachings by putting them into practice.
It is built to apply the methods and techniques taught in the prior classes by working through a small group case study. Each team will be presented with case background materials and will have the availability of a mentor / facilitator who will act in role play as various participants in the case process. Students will build plans, scope the initiative, gather information, model findings, build solutions and present results to the mentor and the group in this simulated process improvement project. Each component of the class will see the teams reset to start the next section with a specific objective. Students will be assessed as they go. There will be lots of time assigned for discussion of lessons learned among peers and with the facilitator.
Who should attend This course is designed for all those business analysts, practitioners and managers who have participated in the previous training classes in the curriculum to attain their certification. It provides a comprehensive consolidation of the skills and techniques used in analyzing business processes and redesigning or improving processes and running process projects. It is a must for business and IT architects, analysts and designers involved in process-managed organizations, process-based change, and the automation of process solutions. TQM, Lean and Six Sigma team members, requirements specialists, project managers, HR competency professionals and change agents will all benefit from the practical application of their knowledge and skill acquired.
