Course description
The PMBOK® – while providing encyclopedic coverage of project management – still requires its practitioners to employ a project management methodology so that work can be planned, performed and controlled effectively. In the UK, Europe and in over 150 countries worldwide, the PRINCE2™ project management methodology is the methodology of choice to identify and organize the key elements – from the PMBOK® and other sources – that are critical to project success.
PRINCE2™ offers a common sense, realistic approach to the managing of projects of all sizes. It is a process-based methodology that highlights how eight particular Components, when understood and effectively addressed, can additionally reduce risks in all types of projects. While PRINCE2™ is based in the same ground as the PMBOK®, it spotlights a number of areas to concretize PMBOK®, and answers the question “how do I apply these concepts in my projects?”
This Presentation will provide a overview of the PRINCE2™ method, review the major elements (and their particular benefits) of the methodology, and provide practical examples of how PRINCE2™ can improve the success rate of all Project Managers, working on all types and sizes of projects.
Who should attend Project managers at organizations that use PRINCE2™, and would like to know more about it before they commit themselves and/or their staffs to the PRINCE2™ Foundation or Practitioner courses. Senior managers considering PRINCE2™ in their organization, who would like to understand it from a “need” direction.
