This course includes everything you need to both create and edit high quality, print-ready PDF s using Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional and Acrobat Distiller 8. Included: Optimizing, Preflighting, and Preparing PDFs for Print; Creating and running a Preflight Profile; PDF/X validation; Preflight Droplets; Color Conversion on both Page and Object level; Using the Ink Manager; Output Previews and Soft Proofs; Transparency flattening in PDFs; adding Printer Marks; Touching up PDFs; creating a Watched Folder workflow system; Commenting and Document Review; and Securing and Signing PDFs. Prerequisites: Experience with design applications such as Photoshop, Illustrator, PageMaker, InDesign or QuarkXPress. This is an advanced level course. Because of the advanced topics, we will only accept students who are already experienced Acrobat 8.0 users. This course is offered for both Mac & Windows.
