Course Description
This three-day course introduces systems and software engineering managers and practitioners, appraisal team members, and engineering process group (e. g., SEPG, EPG) members to CMMI ® fundamental concepts. CMMI ® models are tools that help organizations improve their ability to develop and maintain quality products and services. CMMI ® models are an integration of best practices from proven discipline-specific process improvement models, including the CMM ® for Software, EIA 731, and the Integrated Product Development CMM ®.
This course has been updated to be part of Version 1. 2 of the CMMI ® Product Suite.

Successful Completion
Successful completion of this course requires that participants actively participate in classroom discussions and exercises in all three days, not missing any classroom time.
Successful participants are eligible to receive 2. 5 CEU's from Carnegie Mellon Univeristy (note that 1 CEU = 10 PDUs).
Course Format
The course follows lecture supplemented with illustrations. The instructor maintains a high level of student interaction and discussion to satisfy the student's needs in their work environments.
Extensive experiential learning and cases studies will be integrated in the course proceedings.
