Introduction to Digital Circuit Elements
In this course we will discuss some of the building blocks of binary circuits, i.e. basic binary logic gates, and then show some simple digital circuits that can be built from them. The primary purpose is to prepare the student for more advanced courses by explaining the basic building blocks of digital circuitry.
This course is intended for engineers and technicians who need some basic introduction to digital circuit elements. The basic course outline is:
- Introduction
- Binary Logic
- Logic Gates
- The Buffer
- The NOT gate
- The AND gate
- The OR gate
- The NOR gate
- The XOR gate
- The XNOR gate
- The NAND gate
- The Flip-Flop
- The Set-Reset (or SR) Flip-Flop
