Telling the Story - Advanced Presentation Skills
Presentation Skills
Training
Provided by Pearlcatchers Ltd
Hands up who dreads public speaking? Well you re not alone. The heart of any successful business person is the ability to communicate with ease and engage your audience but this is often easier said than done. Many managers have been on presentation skills training and know how to structure what they say / use visual aids, but few have learned how to make the best of the most powerful tool at their fingertips themselves their voice, body, experience and personality.
This participative workshop takes a different approach to presentation skills. Rather than focusing on the basics, the day is centred around the strengths and development areas of each individual and introduces them to the art of storytelling as a basis for presentations.
Every presentation is a story you are telling. The best storytellers place themselves at the centre of their story to create a memorable and creative engagement with their audience. The same is true of the most confident and effective business people when they are communicating a message. By using theatre, role playing and story techniques developed by Lou Stein, you quickly learn to communicate by placing yourself at the centre of your message.
This workshop can be run in-company or you can attend an open event. The next open date is 20th September 2007 at a cost of 375.00 VAT per delegate

Feedback on Lou s workshops:
Before I came today I thought this course was going to be different. It was for all the right reasons. This course exceeded all my expectations. It was tailored to our requirements in confidence as opposed to the technical aspects of presentations. Lou obviously knows his subject and is very confident. This came over to the audience and made it entertaining Low and Bonar
The training extended beyond just presentation skills, but personal behaviour leading up to the presentation and the art of holding an audience, telling a compelling story, whilst leaving the audience with the key point. I presented to an audience of 100 Senior Managers and actually enjoyed the experience BEA Systems
Thanks so much for the workshop yesterday - it was great, and it's given me many ideas. Thank goodness there were no audio visual materials. It was wonderful to participate in a 100 human day Media Ideas
