To make this Journey of Entrepreneurship successfully, we will have to become leaders. This seminar is about how leaders see, inspire and achieve.
A new kind of leadership is required - entrepreneurial leadership that emphasises flexibility, change, innovation and responsiveness.
The leader needs two intellectual abilities that are usually not formally assessed in an academic way; the leader needs to have a sense for the unknowable and be able to foresee the unforeseeable. This is partly what gives leaders their 'lead', what puts them out ahead and qualifies them to show the way. In short it's foresight - the central ethic of leadership.
Leaders, therefore, must be more creative than most, and creativity is largely discovery, a push into the unchartered and the unknown.
When the successes and failure of companies are examined, it is clear that achievement over the long-term depends on the ability to innovate, and take the leadership role in the industry. Innovation is more than a good idea. Innovation is the process that takes an idea, improves it, develops it and implements it.
In the future, business success will be determined by innovation and swiftness to market.
