  2. Name several ways copyright affects library service.
  3. Apply copyright fair-usee tests to specific situations.
  4. Locate online and print resources on copyright.
This course addresses these issues and more in a web-based course designed to take about 2 hours to complete. It contains video and other multimedia elements that visually illustrate elements of copyright protection. Assessment This course is self-directed and assessments are graded immediately upon completion. Introduction An introduction to the course objectives and an introduction to the concepts of copyright. The Six Rights This lesson discusses the six rights that a copyright owner has, the rights the owner cannot claim, and what the owner may do with the rights. How Does One Get A Copyright This lesson discusses what is required for an individual to claim rights to intellectual property, works of art, etc. Duration of Copyright How long does a copyright and the rights granted by it survive? Copyright Infringements and Fair Use How can someone legally use copyrighted material? What if your material has been infringed?
