The goal of this course is to offer you fundamental principles when confronted with etiquette issues in the workplace. This course addresses these issues and more in a web-based course designed to take about 1.5 hours to complete. This course is for 2 CE credits.
Outcomes:
By the completion of this tutorial, you will be able to—
Understand the evolution of etiquette
Determine the best dress for the workplace that will be professional and bring credibility
Make yourself relax and stay focused on your job at hand
Utilize the basic communication "tools" correctly and effectively
Utilize correct etiquette when attending business social events
Handle issues with cleanliness in the break room
Utilize electronic devices while still considering etiquette practices
Deal with different cultural, ethnic or physical perspectives of your patrons

Dress for Credibility
This lesson discusses how your appearance—and specifically, how you dress—will affect others’ perception of your ability to do your job.
Dealing With Chaos
This lesson covers how to maintain order and productivity in the middle of a chaotic and hectic work environment.
Tools of the Trade
This section covers the basics of such items as name tags, business cards, eye contact, shaking hands, voicemail and thank you notes.
The Business Social
This section covers etiquette relating to business social events, such as how to dress appropriately, drinking (or not), office romances, and office parties.
The Break Room
This section covers break room etiquette, discussing topics such as posting and following break room rules.
Etiquette and Electronics
This lesson covers the relatively new topics such as cell phone etiquette, etiquette on the internet and other electronics etiquette.
