In this unit, you will learn about the Java syntax and lexical issues. It covers identifying the range and declaring the constants, literals, and variables of the three main categories of primitive data types. You will learn to identify Java keywords and identifiers. This unit also explains how to write the decimal, octal, hexadecimal, and Unicode values. You will also learn about the concept of casting the variables when assignment occurs between dissimilar data types.
Outcomes:
Students will be familiar with the fundamentals of the Java programming language.
