Basic RF and Microwave Power Measurement

Electrical Engineering

LearningMeasure.com
Training Provided by LearningMeasure.com This course we will cover the basics of RF and microwave power measurements. First some of the devices used to measure power are briefly described, then the basic power measurement is described, including the effects of mismatches due to reflections in the measurement system on the measured power. Also the measurement of power through a two-port device is covered. Finally this course discusses in a fair amount of detail how to transfer the calibration of a higher-level measurement standard to a working standard using the alternate connection to a stable source method, including the derivation of the measurement equation for this method. This course is meant for the engineer or advanced technician who is interested in performing accurate power measurements or power calibrations.
