The attendee will gain sufficient knowledge to be used in combination with industry experience to be able to apply their skills in constructing basic technical architecture artifacts, architecture documentation and to get a basic understanding of the
Technical Architecture. Here are some of the valuable lessons the attendee will gain experience with through this course.
The workshop begins with the necessary foundation on the Roles and Skills of a Technical Architect. Soft skills such as leadership, consulting, decision making, communication and IT politics are covered.
It proceeds to deliver solid knowledge on the Methods, Processes and Tools used by the Technical Architect, as well as the Strategies needed to design and build technology blueprints, perform technology reviews, construct technology roadmaps, and participate and provide input to annual portfolio planning exercises.
The workshop highlights the relationships between technology and each of the key framework knowledge areas, such as Business, Application, Information and architectures, and winds up with guidance on how to integrate technology solutions within the enterprise-wide architecture plan.
The workshop promises comprehensive lab work each day integrated with interactive classroom instruction.
