Need to think like a designer? This course gives you a primer on the basic elements of design. Students can expect to learn how to go inside the design process and evaluate designs using time-honored principles of design: contrast, repetition, alignment, and proximity, and develop the ability to critique design a identifying whata ™s right and wrong, and how to fix it. Students will also learn how to develop an understanding of the purpose of design, the critical steps in the design process and how to apply principles for evaluating the effectiveness of type, images, colors, and layout in a design project.
