Cascading Style
Sheets (
CSS) for design, layout and development of
Web pages has dramatically changed the way developers and designers build web sites. Using a project-based approach, this course walks students through the process of creating a Web page, while teaching the essentials of CSS along the way. Students will learn CSS essentials such as
Selectors Cascade, and Declarations; Building effective Navigation and Page Layouts; Floats and Boxes; Setting Foreground and Background Properties; Positioning; Tables and Columns; and Working with Typography, Colors, Backgrounds, and White Space.
Prerequisites:
Students interested in this class should have a solid knowledge of HTML - ie, able to write it without a GUI-based tool. This course is offered for both Mac & Windows.
