French for beginners action 1 : the student follows a presentation on Powerpoint diaporama on the structure of the sentence (function and part of each word, differences on oral expression in both languages. The instructor gives all explanations on the peculiarities of the language which don't exist in English (linkage, nasals, mute and aspirated H, gender of nouns, different accents, association of sounds,silent final letters, homophones, true and false cognates, contractions, capitalization etc...)
And also on how to gradually loose an English intonation (different rythm, no exploded consonants, no ups and downs...)
This survey can last several weeks, even several months for certain students, but it allows a correct frame for the rest of the training.
action 2 : grammar is explained gradually with lots of examples and online exercises (a full sentence is given with verbs, vocabulary, expressions, syntax....)
The student can ask all questions he wants, and gets repeated explanations until he is happy. Using a webcam makes the class informal and the student learns seriously, but with fun.
action 3 : after each session, a homework assignment is given on the topic which has been studied, as a control on knowledge.
