Electrical Installation Design
This course covers the theoretical and practical aspects of electrical installation design.
Course Objectives:
- to be able to calculate Total Connected Load and Maximum Demand.
- to determine cable sizes and types of wiring.
- to determine protective conductor sizes.
- to produce layout and schematic diagrams.
- to prepare project cost.
Course Contents:
- Illumination, IEE Regulation, Load Estimation.
- TCL, MD, DF, Power Factor, Cable Size, Voltage Drop.
- Wiring system, symbols, schematic diagram, workshop drawing, work scope.
- Specification, size and choice and current rating of protection devices, earthing system.
- Project estimate.
