The FCC Global Maritime Distress and Safety System (GMDSS) Maintainer program contains content to prep for elements 1, 3 & 9 FCC exams. This program covers GMDSS Maintenance practices and procedures requirements set forth in IMO assembly on Training for Radio Personnel (GMDSS), Annex 5 and IMO Assembly on Radio Maintenance Guidelines for the Global Distress and Safety System related to Sea Areas A3 and A4. Sections covered are: radio system theory, amplifiers, power sources, troubleshooting, digital theory, and GMDSS equipment and regulations. Upon successful completion of this program, you should possess the necessary knowledge needed to successfully pass the FCC elements 1, 3 & 9 exams. This program is presented entirely online.
