Certificate Program Provided by The Recording Arts Center Course description: Pro Tools 210M provides techniques for working with Pro Tools systems in a professional music production environment. Concepts and skills learned in Introduction to Pro Tools, Pro Tools 110 and Pro Tools 201 are reinforced with practical music-specific examples. Prerequisites: This course continues to build on the wide variety of fundamental concepts and topics covered in the Pro Tools 100-series courses and Pro Tools 201. Access to the 210M exam requires passing all previous exams. What You Will Learn: How to prepare a session Tracking and overdubbing use of QuickPunch Virtual instruments MIDI composition Professional editing techniques Sampling in Pro Tools using software samplers Arranging and producing Mixing and automation in music production Synchronizing with an external recorder Mixing and DSP usage using sends, inserts, mix buses, and groups for music applications Synchronization basics for music applications Using a Digidesign worksurface in music production Equipment: The Recording Arts Center will provide a computer workstation for each participant preloaded with course-relevant software and music. Each participant will receive a copy of the Pro Tools 210M Official Courseware.
