Cisco Voice over Wireless LAN
VOWLAN Course Description
This 2-Day VoWLAN course will focus on building skills in design, deployment, implementation and operation. It will include new information on A and G cell design, site survey, security, roaming, quality of service (QoS), and troubleshooting. Topics will include Cisco wireless IP phone 7920, Nokia E-Series, as well as end to end configuration utilizing the Cisco Unified Wireless Network.

Prerequisites
To fully benefit from this course, it is recommended that you have the following prerequisite skills and knowledge:
* Basic Computer Literacy
* Knowledge of fundamental networking components and terminology
* Knowledge of the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) reference model
* Knowledge of basic LAN components and functions
* Knowledge of Voice components and functions
* Knowledge of Wireless components and functions
Associated Certifications

Course Objectives
After completing this course, the student will be able to:
* Describe the voice wireless LAN framework supported on wireless IP phones
* Describe the features supported on the Cisco Unified Wireless IP Phone 7920 and Nokia E-Series phone
* Determine customer needs as part of preparation for designing and deploying a VoWLAN
* Identify various site survey tools and its function as it relates to performing a VoWLAN site survey
* Describe the requirements needed to build an VoWLAN system in an enterprise environment
* Describe various functions performed by Cisco Unified CallManager, CallManager Express, and Mobility Manager
* Describe configuration parameters for VoWLAN infrastructure devices
* Install and configure the Cisco Unified Wireless IP Phone for VoWLAN deployment
* Describe configuration parameters for Cisco Unified Communications software
* Determine the necessary processes to troubleshoot voice for WLAN
