Help Others Clarify Their Objectives
Examine ways of helping those you work with clarify their objectives and focus their requests from the start. Help them test against the corporate goals they will be helping to achieve. Differentiate between their wants and their needs and explore the associated costs.

Ways To Keep Others Informed Along The Way
Explore how keeping people informed can help alleviate potential problems down the road. Make sure you re informing the right people up, down and across, and explore ways to get their buy-in. Use an effective feedback loop so communication is two-way.

Continually Question and Dig Deeper
Practice using effective questioning techniques to dig deeper and make sure all of the issues are outlined early on. Explore deeper level questions that give you the information you need.

Manage Resistance
Explore ways of dealing with resistance more effectively. Set the stage with open dialog, and make sure responsibilities are shared. Keep focused on what will move everyone forward
